Dr. Styliaras is back!

Explore the unique wines and vino culture of Greece with indigenous grape varieties, such as Assyrtiko, Moschofilero, Xinomavro and others. We will be featuring elegant and refreshing white wines, along with velvety and tenacious reds. Taste wines that hail from the volcanic ashes of the island of Santorini,  to the slopes of the Northern Mountain ranges of Olympus, to wines from the plains of Nemea, where Hercules killed the Nemean Lion.

With Greek winemaking experiencing a renaissance, explore what New York Times described as “exciting and tantalizing gorgeous Greek wines – so Ancient, Yet so New,” and what Wine Spectator described as “Utterly delicious wines from interesting indigenous grape varieties.”

Learn about the culture and history of the Greek lands, the different Greek wine-making regions, the distinctive grape varieties, and the characteristics that make them so unique. Allow for this wine tasting to transport you to the shores of the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean.

Dr. Yannis Styliaras, a Greek wine enthusiast, will be leading this Ode to Grecian Wines, and this exploration of exciting new flavors.

If you have any questions about this sampling, please call the store and ask for Chelsey!
